1977年，德国正值于冷战时期。少女派翠西亚欲参与革命而离开柏林当地知名的顶尖舞蹈学校─马可斯舞蹈学院，于离开柏林前探望了心理医生约瑟夫。约瑟夫对其所言的舞团所发生之事产生疑惑。也使其回想起与他逝去的妻子的过往。不久后派翠西亚便失踪了。 另一位来自美国的少女苏西前往柏林就读马可斯舞蹈学院，艺术总监白夫人对她的表现非常青睐，便想她取替派翠西亚培养成下一个明日之星，而派翠西亚的好友莎拉及欧嘉也告诉了苏西于舞团所发生的事。 自派翠西亚失踪及欧嘉离奇死亡后，苏西的到来也使灵异现象接二连三的发生，而随着苏西一步步取代舞团首席，苏西也变得越来越怪异。莎拉也渐渐发现学校深处的腥风血雨。而约瑟夫也将慢慢揭开这所由白夫人领导的学院背后的黑暗历史。而发生的一切也记录了柏林在历史中被遗忘的一面。
