在第三季播出三集后，《大西洋帝国 Boardwalk Empire》得到了HBO台新季即第四季的预订。 HBO高层Michael Lombardo在宣布预订时说：“由Terry Winter、Martin Scorsese等带领的出色团队继续给观众呈现了精彩纷呈的新季，不断地给我们带来惊喜。因此我们决定预订该剧第四季。” 《大西洋帝国》在刚举行的艾美奖上获得了四个奖，包括最佳导演、最佳单镜头摄影等
