《识骨寻踪》的创作灵感来源于法医人类学家和长篇小说家Kathy Reichs的真实生活。 主人公Temperance Brennan博士，是一名法医人类学家，能根据受害者的尸骨找到常人难以发现的线索，因此结交搭档FBI探员Booth，与斜眼小分队的成员们一起研究腐烂尸骨背后的故事。共事者中有爱好昆虫和微生物研究的Hodgins，有能根据骨骸重塑被害人形象的艺术家Angela，有外表严厉却不乏幽默的上司Saroyan博士，还有可爱的心理医生小甜甜博士... 上一季中，因Zack的离开，小分队里开始了轮班制，形形色色的实习生们为观众带来不少笑料，成为了该剧的新亮点。但最牵动观众的还是Booth和Bones这对冤家的暧昧关系，手术醒来的Booth要怎么面对老婆Bones呢，敬请期待9月17日开播的《识骨寻踪》第五季。
