大卫·林奇的《双峰》是美国90年代最为着名的电视剧之一。曾荣获1990年美国电视评论协会大奖，1997年美国金球奖最佳男女主角奖，1991年美国艾美奖8项大奖，1991年美国广播协会最佳电视剧奖，而大卫·林奇也因此登上了《时代》杂志的封面。 这部剧集与大卫•林奇的电影作品有很大不同之处，人物众多但个性分明，故事线索分支不多但剧情峰回路转，许多人被Lora的死亡之迷所吸引，也为侦探怪异的侦破方式着迷，虽然到最后也在电视版本中也没交代谜底（虽然林奇宣称他在第二集告诉了观众凶手是谁了），但对人类欲望中产阶级的生活的剖解的相当深刻。而林奇的忠实影迷也不会失望，整部剧集所呈现的特异风格，纠结了怪诞唯美与迷离的气氛，是大卫•林奇的经典本色。其中Lora还被《Time》誉为电视史上最性感的死尸 。 毫不夸张地说，虽然只有30集（共2季），它却在北美电视界掀起了一场革命，林奇特有的黑暗的、超现实主义的叙事风格和对镜头、色彩的独特处理方式给80 年代模式化的肥皂剧以强烈冲击，而它的成功也离不开与林奇长期合作的作曲家Angelo Badalamenti为它所作的电视原声——它带给你宛如秋天薄雾般萧索的感觉，同时融入了一种诗意的寂寞与神秘感。（转自搜搜电影网 httpwww.sosody.net）
