《越狱 Prison Break》这部9集的迷你剧是原剧剧终后几年的故事，FOX并指他们会有合理的解释为何主角没有死，而且除了主角两兄弟外，一些要角也会回归。目前有指本季设定是Fernando﹑C-Note﹑Lincoln及Sara去也门拯救假死，进了牢狱的Michael。 在《殖民地 Colony》演出Sarah Wayne Callies继续饰演Sara Tancredi﹑Amaury Nolasco﹑Robert Knepper及Rockmond Dunbar也确定回归饰演Fernando﹑T-Bag及C-Note。饰演Paul Kellerman的Paul Adelstein也宣布回归。 《克朗代克 Klondike》的Augustus Prew﹑《马可波罗 Marco Polo》的Rick Yune及《屠魔战士 I, Frankenstein》的Steve Mouzakis已加盟，Augustus Prew饰演Whip，一个风趣﹑但十分疯狂的人，个性异常激进。Rick Yune饰演Ja，一个韩国身份窃贼，从他披头散发的外貌看不出是个天才。Steve Mouzakis则饰演Van Gogh，一个很强，但性格疯癫的人。 《欲海医心 Royal Pains》主演Mark Feuerstein饰演Scott Ness，是Sara Tancredi医生（Sarah Wayne Callies饰演）的新任丈夫。Amin El Gamal加盟饰演一个重要循环角色Cyclops。 Inbar Lavi﹑Marina Benedict 及Kunal Sharma皆以循环角色身份宣布加盟。在《末日孤舰 The Last Ship》演出的Inbar Lavi饰演Sheba，一个美艳聪明的经营商解决麻烦者活跃分子，与Lincoln有关系。 《骨肉之躯 Flesh and Bone》的Marina Benedict饰演A W，一个疯狂的女反派，为了完成自己临死前希望达到的目标，因而不顾自己的身体健康。《Miss India America》的Kunal Sharma饰演Sid，一个具艺术气息﹑性格古怪，身陷牢狱的人。他的罪行被指是犯了同性恋罪。（在也门，同性恋会被处以死刑。）
